Slip Ring

The electrical or optical slip ring, or more simply a rotary connector, it is an essential dynamic connection between static structures and rotating elements. It is the interface for a continuous 360 ° transmission of electrical signals from DC to high frequency, data bus signals such as CANopen, Profibus, EtherCAT and optical signals. In combination with a rotary joint or rotary joint media, even the transfer of compressed air, coolant, hydraulic oil and the like as possible.

Besides slip ring contacts are increasingly deployed contactless rotary joints, especially for the transmission of digital data at rates of 100 Mbit / s to 10 Gbit / s. Examples include active and passive Fiber Optic Rotary Joints, both single- and multi-channel, the GigaCAP® module, RF Rotary Joints, digital and analog, microwave and coaxial to 15 channels, DC-40GHz. The slip rings are characterized by often combined customer specific solutions. We can offer the standard G200, G300 or G400 modular solution with diameters of respectively 90, 140 and 200mm.
